Mental health awareness/psychological safety

Hello :raised_hand: I’m interested in incorporating mental health awareness into my employee wellness plan. Does anyone have any suggestions on creating a more psychologically safe workplace?

Hi there! First of all, I want to say thank you for asking about this. :heart: Mental health is often overlooked in the workplace but is soooo important. You never know what people are going through on a daily basis. Here are some ideas that might help you:
-Incorporating free therapy/counseling sessions for employees
-giving employees extra “mental health days off”
-creating a “relax zone” in the office space
-encouraging breaks
-encourage anonymous feedback from employees about communication problems

Although my workplace does not exactly adopt these practices, I wish that they did!

hey! This is excellent! great initiative! Aside from what aquarius has already said, I would add that inclusivity plays a big role in psychological safety. I’d highly recommend that you examine the level of inclusion and belonging that employees feel!
